Bondage Boutique Ball Gag Review

Being relative newbies to the whole bondage world and never tried a ball gag before when we came across the Bondage Boutique Xtreme Leather Basic PVC Ball Gag we was a little unsure if we’d like the experience never mind the product.
Design / Shape / Size
The design of this gag is quite basic compared to other ball gags we have seen which was a plus for us as we didn’t want anything too extreme looking for our first gagging experience. The straps are made of leather with metal buckles and several holes in the leather for comfortable fitting. The length of the leather is long enough for basically everyone (25″ circumference) but the holes do not seem to go far enough for smaller people so making extra holes in the leather to get a perfect fit may be needed for some people which is a shame as making holes in a new product is not something we tend to like doing.
The ball is made of PVC is of good size (2 inches), we have seen smaller balls but too small can defeat the object of a ball gag as they don’t actually gag the wearer. The size seems like it would suit a lot of people, we have seen some gags that have interchangeable sized balls for different levels of experience it would have been good for this gag to have interchangeable balls but the current 2 inch one should be sufficient for most people.
The ball seems to be very strong, we doubt anyone couldn’t break the ball in the mouths. We have dropped it on hard floors and even stepped on it before and it has yet to show any damage from our heavy handling. It has 4 holes for breathing, they are of good size and spread apart in a way you are always able to breath.
The metal buckles seem to be well fitted and strong, we feel it would take many uses before the buckles of this ball gag to give up. The ball can move on the strap it’s on as it’s removable for cleaning purposes but due to this movability we felt it could cause irritation due to it rubbing.
Care and Cleaning
To clean for this ball gag is very simple all we need to do is unbutton the ball by unbuttoning it from it’s straps, then as PVC should not be exposed to high temperatures we clean the ball with soft soap and water.
Experience
As this was our first ever ball gag a bit of courage was needed to take the plunge but as soon as the ball gag was on I felt at ease as it was a lot more comfortable than I originally thought it would. We did need to make a new hole in the gag bit once we did it felt a lot more comfortable. Breathing when I’m gagged is not a problem as the 4 holes seems to be more than sufficient even when Steve is making me breath heavy for whatever reason.
I do tend to drool a lot when I’m wearing the gag but most of the time when I’m wearing it I’m on my back anyway so it’s not too much of a problem. This gag really limits what noises I can make thanks to it’s size, most of the time I can only groan and moan which turns Steve on so he just makes me moan and groan even more.
I have noticed after a while I can get a bit of jaw ache and as the ball can move a little on the strap it can cause a bit of irritation around my mouth which isn’t ideal but it’s all part of being punished I guess.
Overall Opinion
This ball gag really surprised us as we didn’t even think we would like ball gags but thanks to this product we have quickly changed our opinions on this type of play. It’s comfortable, well made and makes me moan and groan much to Steve’s delight. The only issues I have with it is it can make my jaw ache after a bit of use and I wish the ball couldn’t move on the strap as it can irritate me at times. Other than this it really is a good product and has been great introduction into gag play.
