Vibrating Double Dildo Review

We really like the idea of us both being able to use the same toy at the same time so double ended dildos is an obvious choice of possible toys. We’d never heard of a double ended vibrator though so when our friends at Lovehoney decided to donate us the Vibrating Double Dildo to test and review we were very interested in giving it a whirl.

Design / Shape / Size

The Dual Vibrating Flexi-Dong is a double ended dildo with two penis shaped ends, and has a plastic middle which holds the control button and battery compartment. The insertable dildo ends are purple and made of jelly rubber, and on the inside it has a sort of bone structure which helps to mould the dildo and keep its shape.  Each end has an insertable length of 7 inches and a diameter of 1.5 inches.

There is a lot of raised vein detail on the shafts which we feel is a bit extreme as we have never seen a real penis with veins that prominent before. The heads at each end have quite a lot of detail also that the girth tapers moderately well from the tip.

Some people use double enders on themselves (one end in each hole) however this wouldn’t be possible with this one as it just isn’t flexible enough unfortunately so it would be a couples only toy. Also other people tend to use these types of toys as very long dildos for sole use but again this wouldn’t be possible due to the battery compartment centre section. The girth of the Flexi-Dong is above average and we wouldn’t recommend this product to people who prefer a slimmer sex toy.

Unfortunately this toy contains both latex and phthalates, which isn’t great for latex allergy sufferers and also contains phthalates which has been discovered can be a health risk.

Functions And Controls

The double dildo has a plastic centre which holds the battery compartment and also has a button to operate the three vibration settings. It requires 3AA batteries which are not included with the toy.  The battery compartment is difficult to get in and at times we have felt we are going to break the compartment when trying to open but as yet we haven’t broken it.

This toy has double motors, so both partners get the same level of vibrations as each dildo has a separate motor. The vibrations are powerful and can be felt all the way to the tip of each end. The Flexi-Dong is also moderately quiet and cannot be heard from e other side of a closed door so it could be used in secret quite easily.

To change the strength of the vibrations there is a button in the centre of the toy where the battery compartment is located so that each person can change the vibrations.

Packaging

The Vibrating Double Dildo comes in simple plastic packaging which just pulls open and is re-sealable so that you can store the toy in its packaging. Inside the packaging is a thin card insert which shows pictures of the dildo in different shapes. It also has information such as dual motors, flexible shaft, jelly soft among others.

The packaging shows many pictures on how flexible this double dildo is but this is false advertising as it is not possible to flex the dildo into the positions shown on the packaging.

Experience

Due to the girth of the product Steve has had trouble with using this product with me even with a large amount of lube. Although it was comfortable enough for me to get the dildo inserted correctly, we have struggled to get into a good position to get the dildo inserted anally.

Many photos of the product show how flexible it is, but in fact we did not find it was as flexible as it should be and it also does not stay in shape after being flexed so the flexibility of the dildo is pointless.

The double dildo is also quite noisy, not from the vibrations but from the inner bone structure which sounds like someone cracking their knuckles when the toy is being flexed. As you can imagine this isn’t the most erotic of noises and can be quite a passion killer.

The vibrations do feel good and strong on this toy but due to the girth and the lack of flex of the product we haven’t managed to get the most out of these vibrations.

Over the period of time we have had this product the inner bone structure of the double ender has become damaged and flexes even less than when first received this product. This is not due to overuse and being too vigorous with the product but it just doesn’t seem to be designed or manufactured correctly.

Overall Opinion

The idea of a vibrating double dildo was a great one but we haven’t got along well with this product at all. There are too many bad points with this toy for us to recommend it to anyone from the lack of flexibility, breaking after use to containing latex and phthalates.

This product has now been scheduled for the sex toy scrap heap as we will not be using it anymore as it’s just taking up space that better and safer sex toys could use.
