Him Lubricating Cream Review

We are quite big fans of ID lubricant so when we managed to get hold of a tub of some ‘him lubricating cream’ by ID we had quite high hopes for the product. We have the leather scented version of this product but it is also available in unscented.

Packaging

The packaging of this lube is very simple and wouldn’t look odd in a make-up bag that’s if you don’t read the label. You can get this lube in different sizes 156g and 28g, we had the smaller one which is a nice size to try the lube out and easy to store. At the back of the tub is where you will find the ingredients listing.

To get lube out of the tub it has a lift up lid which is on a plastic type hinge attached to the base so it would be difficult to lose the lid which is a good thing for us as we always tend to lose lids of things. We don’t particularly like lubes like this one where you are able to contaminate and dirty the lube inside by using your hands to take lube out but it’s not a major issue as there isn’t much lube in the tub to contaminate anyway.

Him lubricating cream is a cream based lubricant so it’s important not to use it with Latex based condoms as they will break down the condom to a point it will not do it’s job.

Texture / Smell / Taste

On our hands the lube feels quite tacky and does leave a slight sticky residue which we need to use hot soap and water to remove. The lube is white in colour and looks similar to a tin of white paint when in the tub. Once massaged into the place you want lubricating the whiteness quickly vanishes which is good as the whiteness was slightly off-putting.

We had the Leather scented version of the him lubricating cream which does very slightly smell of leather but I’m unsure why would anyone would particularly want a lube to smell of leather. The lube doesn’t really have an instant taste to it but there is a bad after-taste to the product.

Rox’s Experience

“The him lubricating cream is marketed as lubricant for him so I’ve mainly used it on steve when I’ve gave him a quick hand. I’m not really fond of the feel of this lube in my hands as it feels tacky. I have to use a large amount of the lube to get Steve’s penis very slippery and I have to reapply some more lube also as it doesn’t seem to be very long-lasting which makes me dislike this product. I don’t like the smell of the lube even though it smells slightly like leather and the smell lingers in the room also and is not pleasant.”

Steve’s Experience

“The lube feels quite different when massaged onto my penis compared to most lubes due to the creamy texture. This is a difference I don’t particularly like as the amount of lube needed on me is quite a staggering amount and slightly ruins the moment for me. I don’t like how Rox needs to reapply during a session as just as I’m getting to really enjoy it Rox needs to stop and reapply which keeps me from orgasming. For me this lube is for emergency use only when we’ve totally ran out of other water-based and silicone based lubes due to my dislike of it.”

Overall Opinion

We had high hopes for this lube but we quickly realised that this lubricating cream fails on about every single important thing a lubricant must do to be beneficial. The tackiness, not being slippery enough and the need to keep reapplying makes us leave this product deep in our lube cupboard never to be used.
