I Rub My Devil Duckie Review
August 9, 2011 by: RoxWe won a ‘I Rub My Devil Duckie’ on a recent competition run by sextoys.co.uk. We had seen the Big Teaze range of Duckies many times in the past and was always curious as to how these toys work saying they are shaped so oddly.
Design / Shape / Size
The design of this toy is like your average rubber duck albeit with some added horny extras. The quality of the paintwork on this toy is very good and you can tell Big Teaze Toys put a lot of attention into detail with this range. Parts of the duckie are raised to add extra detailing which is good as you don’t just get a completely flat rubber duck.
We wouldn’t advise putting this rubber duck in your bathroom for guests and other family members to see as although it’s shaped like your average rubber duck it’s quite obvious from seeing this product that it has more purpose than this especially as these duckies are becoming more well known now.
The duckie range does come in 2 sizes but we have the larger devil duckie and it quite a good size and seems to be somewhat bigger than most standard ducks you can get. It also is quite heavy especially considering it’s size.
At the bottom of the toy is where the batteries are located. You do need a screwdriver to open the compartment to add/replace the batteries which we particularly dislike when it comes to sex toys as it’s not an ideal situation to try and find a screwdriver when you quickly need to replace the batteries of a sex toy you was in the middle of using.
As you may expect with this product, it is completely waterproof so using it in the bath or shower is completely fine and we have submersed the toy for quite long periods and it has yet to break.
This duckie has a very hard exterior and not squeezable in any way, we would have preferred it to be at least slightly squeezable as holding the toy for long periods isn’t the most comfortable due to it’s odd shape and we feel that a softer exterior may have helped.
Functions / Controls
To turn the duckie on you press it’s back and the vibrations start, we found it quite difficult to use this controller as we end up pressing various parts of the duckies back trying to get it on or off. The vibrations are below average for a battery operated vibrator, the vibrations do not seem to be focused on a particular position on the toy either.
Care and Cleaning
To clean the duckie is extremely easy, we tend to clean it with some soap and warm water after use. We could also use antibacterial toy cleaner but we haven’t felt the need due to using it as an external massager.
We can use any lube with this toy as we don’t have to worry about the lube degrading the duckie at all but due to the nature of this toy we don’t think water based lube would be an option as water based lube gets washed away far too easily when using in the bath or shower so if we were to use lube with this toy we would choose silicone based.
Experience
We was always unsure how to exactly use the Devil Duckie due to the shape. After trying every angle that we can think of we have yet to find a position where this toy feels really good against my clitoris. The vibrations seem quite powerful under water but we haven’t managed to find the best way the position the duck to make he most of these vibrations.
The duck does seem to float but it doesn’t seem to float upright so it looks as though we have a dead duck in the bathtub. Using the Duckie on Steve has also proved unsuccessful as he said it feels uncomfortable rather than pleasurable on any part of his body.
Overall Opinion
We love the look of the Devil Duckie but we don’t love the Duckies functionality as it falls flat on it’s beak to provide any notable stimulation to any of us. This product looks like a novelty toy and that what it seems to be as using this toy to give us any pleasure has failed after many attempts.
