Monogamy Game Review

We have played a few adults games over the years and have not been too impressed so we a bit sceptical when we received the Monogamy adult sex game but we were in for a surprise.

Packaging

We must say the packaging of Monogamy is excellent it has a definite professional look to it and doesn’t appear cheaply made like many other board games on the market. From the cards to the actual board it is made to stand the test of time.

The cards inside the box are the main part of the game and are separated into 4 categories; Intimate, Passionate, Steamy and Fantasy. On each of the cards there are a male and female section each having a task to do or question to answer whilst playing the game.

Gameplay

How this adult sex game is played you take it in turns throw the die and you move around the board which is scattered in places where you have to pick up a card, give a massage, have a drink, kiss and more. If you land on a ‘pick up a card’ square on the first 2 laps around the board you have to pick up an intimate card which are quite mild tasks and questions. After the first 2 laps you move onto Passionate and then Steamy. The first one to go 6 trips around the board is the winner. After each lap you get to pick up a fantasy card also and if you are the winner of the game you get to act out your chosen fantasy card.

We are extremely impressed by the highly imaginative tasks and questions on the cards, some of them are not to our tastes so if we come across a task we’d prefer not to do we just select another card from the pile. There is really something for everyone hidden in the large selection of cards, from Seduction, Role Play, BDSM, Role Reversal and Anal play.

Our Take

Many couples would find this game very useful in exploring their sexual relationships and encouraging fantasies to be shared and acted out. However we wouldn’t suggest this game to couples who are sexually shy and not willing to try new things as we feel this game is really not for them. There are many more mild adult games around made for the more shy couples as this game could easily scare them away.

This game is built solely for Male/Female couples and not for Gay Men or Lesbians unfortunately as most of the tasks would not be suitable. Also if you wanted to play this with more than 2 adults (2 couples) then it wouldn’t really be possible which is a shame as we are swingers and we feel that this game would be great for get-togethers.

We have struggled to finish playing this game on many occasions as soon as we get to the Steamy section the tasks get VERY hands on including full penetration and we tend to get a little carried away. This is not a bad thing however as it’s a great way to get in the mood and explore each other more.
