Vibe Therapy Serenity Review

Never been a big fan of rabbit vibrators we were unsure what to expect with the Vibe Therapy Serenity but it has surprised us and quickly become one of my favourite sex toys in our entire collection.

Design / Shape / Size

The Serenity from Vibe Therapy is a rabbit type toy, with the insertable end being slightly penis shaped. It does have slight detail on the shaft but is not meant to be realistic. The Serenity also has rabbit ears for clitoral stimulation.

The toy is made from really nice soft silicone although the bottom part which holds the controls is made of plastic. The join between the silicone and the plastic is very good with no gaps between to complicate cleaning. The very bottom of the Serenity flares out slightly, which I found made it very comfortable to hold whilst using the toy on myself.

The insertable length of the Serenity is 5.5 inches with a 1.5 inch diameter which is about perfect girth for me as it allows insertion without discomfort but still gives me a filled feeling. The Vibe Therapy Serenty is quite heavy for its size which is probably due to the rotation mechanism although that does not have a negative effect on the toy.

Functions and controls

The Vibe Therapy Serenity has a large control panel at the bottom of the toy, which has three easy to press buttons. The bottom button switches the toy on also lighting up the control panel which allows you to see the buttons in the dark combatting figuring out which button is which in the dark. Then you can press either of the other two buttons.

The top button switches on the insertable part of the toy which makes the end of the toy rotate. This function has three different speed settings, and after being pressed a forth time it will stop. As there are motors in the end of the shaft, care should be taken not to bend it as it could break the mechanism.

The middle button controls the rabbit ears which has three different speeds and four different pattern settings. The vibrations are very strong, even on the lowest setting. The vibrations will stop after being pressed for the eighth time. When finished with the toy, press the bottom button again to switch it off. The rotation is not huge like some other rotating toys we have seen in the past but it is subtle and alluring.

The patterns on the rabbit ears are a nice touch as many other rabbit ears we have tried in the past only have speeds. The patterns are also varied and well thought out and we feel most people will choose to use a pattern rather than a speed with this toy.

Under the control panel is the battery compartment which is unlike any other toy we have seen. It’s a strange twist cap with a pin either side to make sure you get a good seal to keep water out if using in the bath or shower. This can be very tricky but once you know how to do it, it isn’t too hard. The Serenity takes three AA batteries which are placed in a removable insert. It is a shame this toy is not rechargeable and we hope than Serenity decide to bring out a second version of the Serenity with this feature.

Packaging

The box that this product comes in is very elegant. The side of the box is magnetically sealed, which can be opened to lift the lid to reveal the Serenity. It is very well presented and also protected, so it is a box you will most likely want to keep.

The back of the box holds excellent information about how to use the product, the different functions and also some of the main features. Other toy manufacturers should take note of this and rethink what information should be displayed on their packaging as Vibe Therapy has hit the nail on the head with the Serenity. Inside the box there is a small leaflet inside the box with information about battery and care instructions, as a lot of information about the product is on the box this leaflet is quite limited.

Care and cleaning

As this toy is made from silicone, silicone lubricant should not be used as it can degrade the material. Also store away from toys made of silicone and of other materials for the same reason.

The Serenity is completely submersible so can be used in the bath/shower. Unfortunately it would be difficult to use a lubricant in water as the only lubricants that can be used would not last in water. Cleaning the Serenity is very easy, we rinse it under warm water with soap and spray with a sex toy cleaner and re-rinse which keeps the toy in very good condition.

Experience

Once the Serenity is inserted it feels instantly comfortable every time with any pain or discomfort. It did not feel as large as it looks, it was like a natural feeling like having a normal penis inside me. It is so easy to hold whilst in use and pressing the buttons is just as easy especially thanks to the glowing control pad.

All vibration functions are surprisingly quiet, so no need to worry about house-mates, children or anyone else hearing. The rotation function have that tell-tale sex toy noise but as it’s quiet it’s not really a big issue.

I love the rotation movements, as even though there isn’t much of a curve on the shaft, they seem to slightly tease my G-spot whilst the strong vibrations tease my clitoris. This is a first for me as i have never really liked rotating toys but as the Serenity’s rotation is not extreme like other toys it feels great. Thrusting the toy whilst both the rotation and the vibrations functions are on gives a lot of added pleasure and it doesn’t usually take long for me to achieve toe curling orgasms which leave me feeling a little dazed.

The rabbit ears feel soft on my clitoris and are positioned well for me, sometimes I have to keep repositioning rabbit ears on some toys but the Serenity is much better and I rarely have to get the ears back on track.

Overall Opinion

I’ve never been a huge fan of rabbit vibrators, but the Vibe Therapy Serenity is amazing! I have never experienced such powerful orgasms with a rabbit vibrator as I have with the Serenity. This is on my favourites list and will be a very regularly used toy for me.

The rotation feature is very good on the Serenity and teases my G-spot everytime which leads to really strong orgasms and the rabbit ears are soft and powerful. To sum it all up we feel this toy is a must have for anyone remotely interested in rabbit styled vibrators as it even converted me who is a person not usually a big fan on rabbits.
